Organizing school events and activities that are inclusive of fathers/male caregivers and addresses the importance of fathers/male caregivers’ involvement in children’s education.

Dad’s Club for fathers/male caregivers with children in preschool thru 6th grade at the school.
Dad’s Club gatherings are held once a month at the school site.   

F.R.E.D. (Fathers Reading Every Day) campaign targets school age children K-6th grade.  
F.R.E.D. (Fathers Reading Every Day) campaign is designed to encourage Dads to read to their children every day for 4 weeks. 

Real Dads Read campaign targets elementary age children and their fathers/male caregivers.

The campaign goals are:

  • Encouraging children to develop a love of reading.
  • Improving children’s literacy skills and educational outcomes.
  • Strengthening bonds between fathers/male caregivers ad their children. 

Real Dads Read is a two-generation approach to engaging and improving outcomes for both men and the children for which they are responsible.

Drive to Five campaign for Dads with children from birth to preschoolers (Emerging)
The campaign seeks to reduce father absence by engaging Dads at the early stages of their child’s development, which makes them more likely to continue their involvement in their children’s lives.  

Organizing/promoting father-child (and family) social events: 

Daddy and Daughter Dance, Breakfast with Dad. Dinner with Dad, “Father’s Day Weekend with Sixty-Sixers Baseball” and Fatherhood Initiative Camp-Out and Dinner with Dad. 


  • Providing a (free) evidence-based fathering/parenting program for fathers/male caregivers.
  • 24/7 Dad (AM)Fathering program is delivered in 12, two-hour sessions or 5 weeks, two-hour sessions:

Other Services and Resources 
Other direct services provided by San Bernardino Fatherhood has consisted of, but not limited to:  Domestic violence prevention education, men’s support group, child welfare services consultation and support, child support assistance and information, family reunification support, mentoring and advocacy, case management, community outreach and social services referrals.
